24.11.2025 to 28.11.2025 This week at school was rich with activities that supported learning beyond textbooks and classrooms.   Friendship Club organised a drama competition in which students actively participated, expressing themes related to friendship, empathy, cooperation, and social awareness. The performances created an engaging atmosphere and helped students develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork. A career guidance announcement was also made, encouraging students to reflect on their interests, abilities, and future aspirations. This initiative helped students become more aware of the importance of planning and making informed career choices.  In addition, the role and activities of the NSS were introduced, highlighting values such as service, leadership, discipline, and social responsibility. Another important learning experience was a class conducted on Fire and Rescue services.  The session created awareness about fire safety, emergency situations, and bas...

INNOVATIVE WORK MODEL

🌍 Innovative Learning Through Creative Model Making This innovative model beautifully presents the contrast between a polluted world and a sustainable, eco-friendly future. Using simple craft materials, images, and movable elements, the model visually communicates powerful environmental messages in an engaging way. One side of the model highlights environmental problems such as air pollution, industrial waste, excessive vehicle use, and climate imbalance, reminding us of the harmful impact of human activities on Earth. The distressed planet and dark visuals clearly portray the urgency of environmental protection. In contrast, the other side represents hope and sustainability through green energy sources like solar panels and windmills, tree plantation, clean surroundings, and happy human life. The smiling symbols and bright colours reflect how responsible actions can restore balance in nature. This creative work encourages awareness, critical thinking, and value-based learn...

Schoolyard-Stories 3rd Week-unfolded with steady classrooms, growing confidence, and meaningful learning moments.

17.11.2025 to 21.11.2015 This week began with active classroom sessions, and students participated well in the lessons. I also handled a substitution class for the Plus Two batch, which helped me gain confidence in managing a different group.  The Anti-Microbial Pledge organised with FHC Kilimanoor was an important event of the week, creating awareness about hygiene and infection prevention among students. Thursday was a slightly tense day as both my general and optional subject observations were scheduled together. However, I remained calm and conducted the class well. The observing teacher gave positive feedback, appreciating my confidence, clarity, and classroom management, which motivated me to improve further. Another highlight of the week was the three-day school tour for Plus Two students to Ooty, Coorg, and Mysore. The tour created excitement and a joyful atmosphere in the school. The week also included a special Friendship Week assembly conducted by the Friendship Club. St...

Schoolyard-Stories Phase 2 .Week Two: Small moments, big learnings

Image
This week at GHSS Kilimanur was a meaningful blend of academics, activities, and personal learning experiences. The Ranger–Rover storyboard activity set an energetic start, engaging students in creative expression and group collaboration.  .My sessions with XI C1 were productive and well-organised, and handling substitution classes for XI C2 gave me additional opportunities to interact with more students and observe diverse classroom dynamics. The overall rhythm of teaching and learning felt balanced and encouraging. As the week progressed, the school atmosphere shifted into a more reflective tone with the organisation of a health check-up camp and an awareness session exclusively for teachers. These initiatives emphasised the significance of self-care and wellness among educators. At the same time, the commencement of the Ranger–Rover three-day camp brought a vibrant spirit to the campus, with students actively participating in various activities. Regular classes continued smoothl...

Second phase! Restore s

After completing the 3rd semester examination, 1 resumed my teaching practice and returned to school with renewed enthusiasm. During this week (Days 12–16), the classes progressed smoothly, and the overall classroom environment was positive. The subject teacher had already allotted the required portions, which helped me plan and organize my lessons effectively. I was able to manage the classes with confidence, apply appropriate teaching strategies, and maintain good interaction with the students. At the same time, Plus Two students were engaged in their model examinations as well as practical (lab) examinations. Even with the exam pressure, students remained cooperative and attentive during classes. Time management and classroom discipline were maintained properly, ensuring that the teaching–learning process continued without disruption. This week gave me valuable experience in handling classes during examination periods and strengthened my confidence as a trainee teacher.

Second Phase 1st week Teaching Practice

During the first week of teaching practice, I familiarised myself with the school environment, classroom setting, and students. I observed the regular classroom activities and teaching styles followed by the teachers. The students were cooperative and attentive, which helped in building initial rapport. Classroom interaction was encouraged through simple questioning, and students responded positively. This week helped me understand the importance of classroom management, clear communication, and student engagement. Observing experienced teachers provided valuable insights into effective teaching practices, lesson organisation, and maintaining discipline. Overall, the first week was a meaningful learning experience that helped me gain confidence and prepare myself for active teaching in the coming weeks.

Schoolyard Stories – Phase 2: Week 1

Image
The second phase of practice teaching began with renewed excitement and confidence. On the first day, we met the Principal and handed over the official letter. We also signed the attendance register in his presence, marking the formal beginning of this new phase.  In the school, a spacious reading room was specially allotted for us, which soon became our hub of ideas and teamwork. It was there that we prepared lesson plans, created teaching aids, discussed classroom strategies, and reflected on our teaching experiences each day. After that, we proceeded to our allotted classroom, Plus One Commerce (C1), where students greeted us warmly. It was a joyful moment to meet them again after a short break. During the week, we prepared our teaching aids, revised lesson plans, and began handling classes according to the allotted portions. The lessons were started with enthusiasm, and the students actively participated in discussions and classroom activities. The school closed early on one...

Bell Rings Again! Back to the classroom where dreams echo once more.

Beginning of Second Phase Teaching Practice!  Today marks the beginning of my Second Phase of Teaching Practice, a new chapter in my journey as a teacher trainee. After a short break, stepping once again into the school environment feels like coming home — to the same classrooms, familiar faces, and the warmth of learning that never fades. The first phase taught me lessons beyond textbooks — about patience, responsibility, and the joy of connecting with young minds. Now, as I begin this second phase, I carry those experiences with renewed confidence and a stronger sense of purpose. This time, my goal is not just to teach concepts, but to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence among my students. As I entered the school premises today, I felt a blend of excitement and responsibility. The sight of students greeting teachers, the morning prayers, and the buzz of the first bell reminded me why teaching is a calling, not just a profession. I’m grateful for another opportunity to s...

“We came as seniors, they came as dreamers — together, we made Freshers’ Day a story of joy, laughter, and unity.” The Freshers’ Day programme was conducted at MEACT Ayur to welcome our new batch of first-year students. The event was organised by the second-year B.Ed. students with great enthusiasm and teamwork. The programme began with a welcome speech, followed by songs, dances, and fun games prepared by the seniors. The juniors also shared their talents on stage, which made the day more colourful and lively. Smiles and laughter filled the hall as both batches enjoyed every moment together. A special event, the “Fresh Face” contest, added more excitement to the celebration. The programme helped in building a friendly bond between the seniors and juniors and created a positive atmosphere in the campus. The day ended with happy hearts, photographs, and memories to cherish. Freshers’ Day 2025 truly marked the beginning of new friendships and a joyful journey ahead at MEACT A...
