Image
https://share.google/E2ZnSY9muDkTUTpgC As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, I prepared the chapter Public, Private and Global Enterprises for higher secondary students. The chapter helped students understand the different types of business enterprises and their role in the economy. While teaching, I explained the meaning, features, merits, and limitations of public, private, and global enterprises using simple examples. Charts and PPTs were used to make the concepts clear and interesting. Students actively participated through discussions and questions. This chapter also helped students learn about social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and global business activities. It improved their understanding of how different enterprises function at national and international levels. Overall, preparing and teaching this chapter was a useful and meaningful experience. It helped me improve my teaching skills and gain confidence as a student teacher.

I reached school today morning at 8:30 AM. After settling down, I prepared my lesson plan for the day. Once done, I went to the principal’s office and signed the morning attendance register. Soon after, the school prayer began, followed by the “Thought for the Day.” As part of the Career FM session, today’s topic was “Data Science.” The audio shared details about what data science is, the courses available in this field, and the wide range of job opportunities it offers. It was quite informative and helpful for students to understand future career paths. After the session, regular classes began. I was allotted the 6th period for Class C1 to take Business Studies. I entered the class with my prepared lesson plan and felt confident. The class went smoothly and students responded well. Today, I gave back the corrected papers to the students. It was nice to see their reactions — some were happy, and others checked their mistakes carefully. I explained the common errors and gave tips for im...

Teaching Practice – 6th Week (18th – 22nd August 2025) “From 18th to 22nd August, my sixth week of teaching practice unfolded like a symphony — balancing examination duties, discipline, and the joyful rhythm of Onam preparations.” This week offered a vibrant blend of academic responsibility and festive anticipation. The Onam examinations for Plus Two students were conducted in the afternoon sessions, while Plus One students attended their regular classes along with one-hour terminal examinations for each subject. Despite the busy schedule, I effectively utilized my allotted class hours for Plus One to conduct lessons, revisions, and interactive discussions, ensuring students stayed engaged and motivated. In addition to teaching, I was entrusted with several exam-related duties, which enriched my practical understanding of school administration. I served as an invigilator, distributed additional sheets, marked absentees, and assisted with exam arrangements. I also took part in disciplin...

Last week

On one of the days, a school function was conducted smoothly, creating an organized and positive atmosphere. On the following day, the first-year science students began their final practical examinations. As I did not have regular classes on that day, I spent time observing different classes, which helped me understand various teaching methods and classroom management strategies. I also conducted an achievement test for the students, making the day productive and academically meaningful.

journey of growth, reflection, and purpose

The lastjourney of growth, reflection, and purpos day of my teaching practice at G HSS Kilimanoor marked the conclusion of a truly enriching and memorable journey. As I walked into the classroom for the final time, a deep sense of gratitude and fulfillment filled my heart. What began as a phase of observation and uncertainty gradually transformed into confidence, competence, and meaningful connections with students. Throughout this teaching practice, every lesson delivered became an opportunity to learn and grow as a prospective teacher. The use of innovative teaching methods, activity-based learning, and creative teaching aids helped make classroom interactions more engaging and effective. Observing students actively participate, respond positively, and show curiosity towards learning was the most rewarding aspect of this experience. This journey also presented challenges such as classroom management, time constraints, and addressing diverse learning abilities. However, these cha...
