Schoolyard Stories – Week 4: Lessons beyond the blackboard.

This week at school was rich with activities that supported learning beyond textbooks and classrooms.
Friendship Club organised a drama competition in which students actively participated, expressing themes related to friendship, empathy, cooperation, and social awareness. The performances created an engaging atmosphere and helped students develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
A career guidance announcement was also made, encouraging students to reflect on their interests, abilities, and future aspirations. This initiative helped students become more aware of the importance of planning and making informed career choices.
In addition, the role and activities of the NSS were introduced, highlighting values such as service, leadership, discipline, and social responsibility.
Another important learning experience was a class conducted on Fire and Rescue services.
The session created awareness about fire safety, emergency situations, and basic precautionary measures, helping students understand how to respond responsibly during emergencies.
Overall, the week was meaningful and enriching, promoting life skills, awareness, and holistic development among students.
