Schoolyard-Stories Phase 2 .Week Two: Small moments, big learnings

This week at GHSS Kilimanur was a meaningful blend of academics, activities, and personal learning experiences.

The Ranger–Rover storyboard activity set an energetic start, engaging students in creative expression and group collaboration.

.My sessions with XI C1 were productive and well-organised, and handling substitution classes for XI C2 gave me additional opportunities to interact with more students and observe diverse classroom dynamics. The overall rhythm of teaching and learning felt balanced and encouraging.

As the week progressed, the school atmosphere shifted into a more reflective tone with the organisation of a health check-up camp and an awareness session exclusively for teachers. These initiatives emphasised the significance of self-care and wellness among educators. At the same time, the commencement of the Ranger–Rover three-day camp brought a vibrant spirit to the campus, with students actively participating in various activities. Regular classes continued smoothly, allowing me to complete the planned portions, practice better classroom management, and confidently take up additional responsibilities.

The final part of the week was filled with joy and colour as the school celebrated Children’s Day with much enthusiasm. The cheerful atmosphere, student performances, and warm interactions made the day truly memorable. Balancing my academic responsibilities along with these celebrations enriched my teaching practice experience.

Overall, the week provided a wonderful mix of learning, engagement, and meaningful moments, making my journey at GHSS Kilimanur even more rewarding.
