Day 1 – The Beginning of Samanwayam 2K25

 13 October 2025, Monday

St. Xavier’s Vidyanikethan, Pathanapuram

The long-awaited community living camp Samanwayam 2K25 began with great excitement and enthusiasm. All participants arrived at the venue by 9:00 a.m., filling the atmosphere with energy and laughter. After registration, everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast of puttu and kadala curry, which created a cheerful start to the day.

The inaugural ceremony started at 10:30 a.m. with a warm welcome speech by Parvathy Miss, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The Principal, Mr. Santhosh Sir, addressed the gathering with inspiring words about teamwork and learning through shared experiences. Felicitation speeches were delivered by Dhanya Miss, Soumya Miss, Sai Miss, and Rijas Sir. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Camp Leader Alfiya.

After the inauguration, everyone enjoyed a soulful musical performance by Jinith Sajeevan Sir. His melodious songs filled the hall with happiness and created a lively tone for the rest of the day.

At 2:00 p.m., a wholesome lunch was served, consisting of rice, sambar, fish curry, thoran, pickle, and pappadam. Sharing the meal together strengthened the bond among all trainees.

The afternoon was dedicated to sports activities, which began at 3:15 p.m. Despite the light rain, a badminton tournament was held with great enthusiasm. The matches were full of excitement and team spirit, and Group 3 emerged as the winner.

After a short fresh-up session from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m., participants enjoyed tea and snacks, preparing for the evening programs.

An engaging Ice-Breaker Session was conducted by Liju Yohanan Sir from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The session included motivational talks and fun games that encouraged participation, creativity, and teamwork. It helped everyone develop leadership, confidence, and cooperation while breaking the initial hesitations among groups.

At 9:15 p.m., a delightful dinner was served, featuring chapathi, beef stew, vegetable curry, and fish curry. The meal was enjoyed together, marking the close of a joyful and productive day.

Later, at 9:50 p.m., the Camp Parliament convened to review the day’s events. Participants discussed valuable suggestions such as maintaining punctuality, ensuring equal participation in cultural programs, and distributing cleaning duties evenly among all groups. The meeting concluded on a positive note, emphasizing unity, discipline, and collective responsibility.

Finally, lights were turned off at 10:00 p.m., bringing an end to the first day of the camp. Everyone retired to bed with smiles, satisfaction, and anticipation for then next day’s adventures.

The first day of Samanwayam 2K25 was truly memorable. Every activity—from the inauguration and music to the sports events and interactive sessions—reflected the spirit of teamwork, friendship, and joy. It was not just a day of programs but a day of bonding, laughter, and learning together.
